Prepress and Digital Prepress

Lake Erie Graphics supports both MAC and Windows platforms. Supported software includes graphics applications from Adobe, Quark and Microsoft. We are an Adobe Service Provider along with partners of AGFA.

Specialized devices created specially for advanced color proofing, digital plating, vinyl cutting, and image setting.

  • Epson 9890 – Imposition color proofing.
  • Epson 9800 – Contract color proofing & photo reprints.

Pressroom

Lake Erie Graphics has added new equipment to our pressroom arsenal. In addition to our 6 color press and 2 color press, we have added 2 digital printing presses.

  • Heidelberg CD 102-6+L – 28 x 40 inches, a fully automated six (6) color press with inline aqueous coating. Prints on material up to 40 pt caliber.
  • Heidelberg Quickmaster 46 – 13 x 18 inches, two (2) color press with Auto Plate. Prints on material up to .015 thick.

  • Canon imagePRESS C10000VP – 13 x 30 inches full color digital press with variable data capability. Prints on 16lb bond to 130 lb cover (60 to 350 GSM).
  • Canon C-700 – 13 x 30 inches full color digital press with saddle stitch booklet maker. Prints up to 300 GSM.
  • Canon IR 55 13 x 19 inches black and white high speed printer. Prints on paper stock from 16 lbs up to 110 lb index.

  • Roland Soljet EJ 640 High Volume Printer – Roll to roll printer utilizing Ecosol inks.
  • Roland VersaEXPRESS RF 640 – Roll to roll printer utilizing Ecosol inks.

  • Agfa Titans – UV Flatbeds 1200 dpi. Printing area of 120″ x 79″ on surfaces up to two (2) inches thick.
  • HP Latex 1500 Printer- Award winning high quality printer capable of printing up to 800 square feet per hour. Immediate drying and scratch resistant. Environmentally friendly with water based latex inks.

  • Zund High Performance Cutter G3 L-2500 – Cutting, Scoring, Trimming, Routing of flat or roll materials.
  • AGL 64T Laminator with Heat Assist – 64″ Wide Format Laminator
  • Fasnap Grommeting Machine – Capable of punching holes in a variety of industrial.
  • T300 Extreme Edge Miller Weldmaster- A hot wedge welding machine with quick and accurate results. Welding up to 30 meters per minute. Versatile, ergonomic and efficient
  • Hwonglam Sewing Machine- High speed double lock stitch

Bindery

Includes state of the art stitching, folding, cutting, and finishing equipment.

Stitching

  • Muller-Martini PRESTO – 6 pocket saddle stitcher with cover feeder.

Cutting

  • PRISM paper cutter – 45 inch paper cutter with computer programmable spacer.
  • Harris Seybold Citation – 42 inch paper cutter with computer programmable spacer.
  • Knorr Jogging System – with air roll-out unit.
  • Harris Seybold – 95 inch paper cutter with computer programmable spacer.

Folding

  • Two (2) MBO B-26 – continuous feed 26 inch x 50 inch folders with roll away 8 page and 16 page right angle units.
  • Two (2) MBO Z-2 knife folder – Folds 16 or 32 page signatures. Refolds stitched brochures.

  • Heidelberg Stahl Model T-36 Pile Feed – Prescription Miniature folder – Max sheet size: 14″ x 25″, Min sheet size: 3-5/32″ x 3-15/16″, Min fold size: 5/8″

Finishing

  • Heidelberg Cylinder press – 22 inch x 32 1/2 inch for Die Cutting and Scoring.
  • Heidelberg Cylinder press – 15 x 20 ½ inch for Die Cutting and Scoring.
  • Pro Fold Lynx DX tabber – inline wafer sealer, runs inline on folders or saddle stitcher.
  • Rosback – 30 inch pile feed rotary scoring and perforating device.
  • Brackett Padmaster – automatic pad gluer with maximum 4 inch x 17 inch glue area.
  • Shanklin T-7H Shrink Tunnel/A27A – heat sealer fully automated shrink-wrapping production line.
  • Watkiss Vario – Collator and finishing system.
